By downloading, accessing, or using SIP Japan ("SipJP", "the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
SipJP is a curated café discovery app for iOS. The App provides editorial café recommendations, walking routes, and travel-related content for cafés in Japan. All content is created by the SipJP editorial team.
3. Use of the App
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute the App's editorial content without permission
- Use the App's content for competing products or services
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
- Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the App
4. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including text, photographs, reviews, routes, and design — is the property of SipJP and is protected by copyright. The "sip." name and logo are trademarks of SipJP.
5. User-Generated Data
The App stores your saved cafés, visited cafés, and preferences locally on your device and via iCloud sync. We do not collect or store this data on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Accuracy of Information
Café information (hours, addresses, availability) may change without notice. While we make reasonable efforts to keep information current, SipJP does not guarantee the accuracy of any café listing. Always verify details directly with the café before visiting.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple MapKit for maps and may link to third-party websites (café websites, Google Maps). We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SipJP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on café information while traveling.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
