Sip Japan ("the app") is developed and operated by AppCoda Limited ("we", "us", "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a seamless experience discovering coffee across Japan without compromising your personal data.

We believe that what you search for and where you visit is your business. Sip Japan is designed with Privacy by Design principles, meaning we minimize data collection at every level.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- No User Accounts: The app does not require you to create an account.
- No Personal Identity: We do not collect, request, or store your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
3. Analytics and Performance
To ensure the app remains stable and useful, we use Apple's native tools:
- App Store Connect & TestFlight: We access aggregated, anonymous data provided by Apple regarding app crashes and general usage patterns.
- Anonymous Nature: This data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and does not allow us to identify you individually.
4. Local and iCloud Storage
Your data belongs to you and stays on your devices:
- Local Storage: Your saved cafés, visited status, and personal preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
- iCloud Sync: If you have iCloud enabled, this data may sync across your own devices via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store.
- Zero Access: AppCoda Limited has no access to your saved lists, notes, or synchronization data.
5. Third-Party Services
We keep our integration list minimal to protect your privacy:
- Maps: We use Apple MapKit to provide location services and display café coordinates. Your interaction with the maps is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- No Ad Tracking: We do not embed any third-party advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or external marketing analytics.
6. Children's Privacy
Sip Japan is not directed at children under the age of 13. Given that we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly monitor or profile young users.
7. Policy Changes
AppCoda Limited reserves the right to update this policy. Any material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top and will be highlighted in our App Store release notes.
